CANDIDATE PROFILE
Specific, extensive experience and focus is required in the following sectors:
. Advanced Applied Geosciences technical qualifications pertaining to, but limited to:
- practical experience in operating mines covering all aspects of geological functions including drilling, sampling, QAQC, grade, dilution and cost control, reconciliation, reporting and liaison with mine engineering and surveying professionals
- knowledge of and practical experience with geological modelling, domaining, statistical analyses, variogram analyses, cross-validation and reconciliation
- experience with a wide range of grade estimation techniques including ordinary kriging, multiple indicator kriging, co-kriging and conditional simulation
- experience with the application of advanced geostatistical methods including simulation, global change of support and uniform conditioning for estimation, risk management and operational optimisation

The SCM Process Equipment Category Manager prepares, administers, organizes and develops supply chain category strategy programs for primary and secondary categories globally. This role supports and assists the subject matter expert in the stage gate process and integration with key stakeholders. Assists in development of commercial and contracts integration with key suppliers and key stakeholders globally (projects, operations, and maintenance) as well as deliverables for the stage gate (stages 1-5) and operational readiness. Provides guidance to and develops business analysts.

Essential Duties include:
Develops, manages, and executes the Operations Equipment and Process Equipment sourcing and supplier relationships:
- Ultimately responsible for assisting in the identification of cost savings and process/service improvements opportunities annually.
- Assists in the development and implementation of the sourcing and purchasing strategy for process equipment (including all primary and secondary categories) globally for projects, operations, and maintenance.
- Coordinates with the technical services, project and business services, projects teams in each region and with suppliers to evaluate process equipment commercially and technically for all projects globally.
- Provides process equipment technical assistance to the projects and sites related to operational issues through SRM.
- Establishes relationships with internal and external customers as subject matter expert related to all process equipment issues.
- Assists in development of technical documents (Total Cost of Ownership) TCO models, should cost models, and price discipline models for the process equipment (primary and secondary categories) as required.
- Organizes, gathers, researches and analyzes relevant commodities, services and product information necessary to assist in the global, regional and local supply chain solutions.
- Identifies, develops and fosters customer and supplier relationships.
- Assists in conducting customer requirement analysis to understand customers' procurement needs and requirements and align these with corporate requirements.
- Assists in facilitating the supply chain category council enabling the sites to execute sourcing deliverables.
- Prepares and provides analysis of statistical data for management reports.
- Assists with the development of new contracts and reviews and provides recommendations/modifications for existing and developing contracts according to Corporate guidelines.

Purpose:
·
Administers
contracting activities inside the corporate office in support of Corporate
Groups in need of outside services (i.e. IT, Human Resources, Health,
Safety & Loss Prevention, Environmental, Investor Relations, Corporate
Communications, Community Relations, Finance & Controller, Treasury, Tax,
Supply Chain Management, Exploration, Technical Services, Denver Office
Operations, and Internal Audit)

Conducts contract
administration activities in support of Corporate Groups by preparing
and administrating contracts on their behalf (i.e. professional services
agreements, technical services agreements, consultancy agreements, general
services agreements and other forms of service contracts.
·
Provides efficient
procurement and best practices for goods and services for the company's Corporate
Groups.
Essential Duties:
· Provides assistance
in the planning and execution of service contracts. This includes a
collaborative effort with stakeholders and end-users in terms of contract
planning, scheduling, budgeting, preparation of scopes of work, tax strategy,
risk management & risk review and other key planning activities.
· Communicates
Company's Supply Chain Management programs in terms of 'Supply Chain Best
Practices', policies, standards and other requirements.
· Assists end-users in
developing bidders lists and conducting the pre-qualification process for
selection of qualified bidders
· Prepares Request For
Proposals (RFP's) for formal bidding, issues RFP's, receives and tabulates bids,
conducts commercially bid evaluations, participates in the selection of
contractors, assists end-users in obtaining management approvals for contract
awards
· Partakes in contract
negotiations and contract awards and preparation of contract documents for
execution.
· Ensure contracts
comply with domestic and foreign tax language, legal, and insurance requirements
and coordinate changes with representatives of these departments.
· Works directly with
the company's Legal in terms of contracts terms and use of the appropriate company (contracting) legal entity.
· Conducts post award
contract administration in terms of preparing and executing change orders, work
orders, amendments, coordinates and facilitates correspondence/communications,
contractor compliance, and contract close out.
· Spend analysis and
supplier rationalization to consolidate and standardize supplier
relationships.
· Participate with
Finance, stakeholders and vendors on continuous improvement efforts to
streamline invoice processing to improve payable accountability to
contracts.
· Communicate and
promote use of processes and tools; continually refine processes and tools and
encourage adoption of best practices.
· Communicate
governance, compliance and standardization of best practices for procurement of
services and goods.
· Support Purchasing
Agents within department as necessary.
Training & Experience:
· Bachelor's degree in
Business Administration or Management is preferred but not
required
· Minimum 5 years
experience in contracts management and/or contracts
administration.
· Certified Purchasing
Manager (CPM) from Institute of Supply Management (ISM)
desired.
· Experience in mining
or other relevant industries desired.
· Extensive knowledge
of strategic sourcing and supplier/contractor alliance practices.
